Wandering fresh green leaves in Kyoto on May 29th, 2020.
I visited many fresh green leaves viewing points in the center of Kyoto with my bicycle.
I will introduce Mikane shrine, Kinkakuji temple, Shakuzoji temple, Seimei shrine, Shiramine shrine, Ginkakuji temple, Okazaki shrine and others.

It was a national treasure before, but it was destroyed by arson with many of its treasures.

Shakuzoji temple

No.3 on the map is Shakuzoji temple.
It was founded by a famous monk Kukai in 819.
There are many representations of “Kunuki jizo”, the jizo who saves people from suffering.

It was founded about 600 years ago and built according to the typical architecture style of that time.

Okazaki shrine

No.7 on the map is Okazaki shrine.
It was founded about 1200 years ago and it enshrines the god of pregnancy and smooth delivery.
There are many rabbit statues and ornaments as messengers to the god, because they bear many babies.

Summary
I took about 5 hours from No.1 to No.7 on the map with my bicycle.
There are not so many train stations in the area, so it’s better to take the bicycle to see viewing spots more efficiently.
There are many rental bicycle shops in Kyoto.
