I visited many places from early morning to evening, so I’ll introduce them on 2 pages.

Here I’ll introduce Hirano shrine, Honganji-sumonobo temple, Matsuotaisha shrine, Sagashakado temple, the cherry blossoms train of “Randen”.

It was the best time for Someiyoshino trees, a major kind of cherry blossoms in Japan.

Hirano shrine

  • Time:15min〜
  • Cost:Free except one part
  • Recommendation:100%
  • Comment:Long cherry blossoms season, about 1.5 month

I went to Hirano shrine at No.9 on the map around noon.

It was founded about 1200 years ago. It’s famous for its cherry blossoms.

The cherry blossoms are illuminated at night.

There are 400 cherry trees of 60 different varieties in the shrine, so we can enjoy cherry blossoms for long time, about 1.5 month.

We can enjoy cherry blossoms there for long time, but I think the best is the peak bloom of the Someiyoshino trees.

It was the best time to see the Someiyoshino blossom.

Summary

It took about 4 hours from No.9 to No.15 on the map with my bicycle.

There are not so many train stations around here, so it’s better to take the bicycle to see many cherry blossoms efficiently

There are many rental bicycle shops in Kyoto.

This is a map marked with my recommendation spots in Kyoto.
